***added pic of my splatmaster and my turbo rev***
sorry about my camra:( gudda love the work horses old skool a little history about the guns splatmaster: the first paintball marker mass produced for the sport. this marker realy got the ball rolling. pgp: one of the most reliable sidearms one can find produced from the early 80s-2000 this marker has probly had the longest production run with 5 or more styles including pg, top tube pg, pgp(old valve), pgp (cartrage valve), and pgp2k1 vm68: sheridan beat tippmann on getting a semi on the production line and this gun became the first wide spread semi tippmann 98: this gun is the work horse of modern paintball being used as a rental marker around the world. please correct me if any of my facts are off. a little about my guns both pgps have had the top tube removed i trusted a nub welder and had to fix his mistakes...one pgp works the other needs some parts both VM68EXCs work and are great markers bit of recoil though and weigh more than 2 tippmanns combined... one tippmann needs some work but will shoot the other runs with no problems splatmasters in the mail but looks like its in great condition. i cleaned the splatmaster when i got it nelson based but the hammer is behind the valve and pulls the barrle onto the bolt firing the marker.
i dident realy get to compare the accuracy to anything because i only shot a few rounds inside...it sucked when i broke paint... pros- -holds 12 rounds (10 in tube 1 in mag well and 1 in chamber) -ball dentent -light weight -speed of reload and changing co2 -low profile -holds 10 round feed tubes inside the marker -brass thread incerts in plastic so you dont strip out the body cons- -broke paint (could be old paint) -13 inches long i like the way you cock the gun by pushing the black plunger in although it will take some getting used to VERY short trigger pull but faily stiff (it would be unsafe for this to have a light trigger pull) so i like how its stiff but prefer the longer lighter pull all in all i am very pleased with the marker easy to clean and preformed well...with the production costs of today this marker could probly sell for 25$ and beat the pants off the talon... |

I have a splatmaster. The thing sucks ass. Your better off aiming away from your target. And its so slow. But I like it for what it is. But I never play with it. Just sits there.

Fact Correction: the PMI 3 (same as vm68) was out first. ben
sheridan designed it and was manufactured and branded with the pmi label. it wasn't until later that sheridan went out on his own to marketing the now re-named VM68, and the VM68 magnum (the magnum came standard with a dual bottle adaptor, a small 3.5 oz under the barrel. they made all types of accessories for the pmi3/vm68, smart parts used to make wooden pistol grips and wooden forgrips that attached to the barrel. wire stocks, thompson wood stocks, too many to remember. I think I may still have some old advertisements of some of these items. so if you have a VM68 it would be later than one marked PMI3.
