The X-chamber is definitly worth buying if you play in cold weather. As you know people who play in cold weather usually will have gun problems such as frosting, freezing, snowing and velocity spikes. The X-chamber will give the gas time to expand so it will decrease those problems.

Go for the Expansion Chamber. Just like ScarFace said it gives more time for the liquid Co2 to expand into the Gas form which as you might know Co2 causes the gun to frezze up like ScarFace said so it helps alot more.
Now for the Flatline. I got one for christmas and I love it. I play speedball and found it a little heavy but it was nice. I would get a kit or something like a Freak kit.

meh it all comes down to opinion. Im a speedball tourney person and IMO the Fl is a waste. Because the speedball fields are so small there is no real need for the extra distance. Also both FL systems are IMO to big, bulky, and heavy for speedball. You can get a regular barrel which will work just fine. A regualr barrel will be smaller, lighter and less bulky and the 150+ft a regular barrel gives you is just fine because the speedball fields are so small.

Expansion chamber is great. I haven't seen any frost fly out of my flatline when it is cold so it has to work. Flatline is best for woodsball and not good for speedball

you people are so misinformed.  An expansion chamber is crap.  Don't get one.  You'd be much better off gettting a reg, such as a palmers fatty or torpedo.  They handle Co2 the best.  As for barrels, it depends what you play, woods or speed.  IMO I wouldn't get the Flatline at all.  I'd opt for a barrel kit, such as a freak or all american.  Just remember, anything longer than 14' isn't a barrel, just a long stick for poking people.
