Do not make an A-5 a vertical feed. It would be a waste of a good system. If you want a vertical feed, modify a 98-C.

That said, lets make sure your ratchet is working:

  1. First, does the cylinder reset switch operate the mechanism?
  2. Look at the bottom plate of the hopper - is there a capital A on it near the cylinder reset housing?
  3. When you open the bottom plate is the ratchet clear?

I ask these because it may be an issue with the ratchet being stripped and need to be either replaced or updated. It may also be an air path issue, but look at those things above first.

I ordered a brand new rachet from tippmann replaced the old one an same thang is still happening. An yes there is an a, is that helps with anythang.     ( I went out an shot it tonight and when i shot it wasnt spinning so i tried letting more air in. When i pulled the trigger it felt like there was a ton of pressure on it an when it shot the feeder turned.) I dont know what to do this is one strange a5.

Thanks for the help but i realized it wasnt the rachet or anythang with the cyclone feeder. The stock I bought from a friend was missing a pin that was not holding the spring in the bolt tight enough.
