Recently(2 weeks ago)my 98 custom has been leaking CO2. It is not coming through the barrel though. I know it is not the tank O-ring, or a bad CO2, because the CO2 bottle was just purchased. My gun was just bought about 7-8 months ago. I went to my proshop and they fixed it temporarly by going inside the internals and "filling" the vavle. I'm not sure what is wrong and how to fix it. Should I just send it to Tippmann under the 1-year warrenty. Thanks for you help!

If you could get more specific on where the leak is, it would help. Is it coming from near the air hose where it goes into the gun? Thats one of the main places guns spring leaks.

no problem. just take off your ASA, remove the line from the valve or ASA (wherever its leaking from), put loctite or teflon tape on the threads, an screw the line back in. its that simple.

For teflon tape always remember to wrap the tape clockwise around the threads. If you do it counter-clockwise it will chew itself up when you screw it back in.

When using Teflon tape on the threads of the hose, start on the 2nd thread, this will avoid any piece of the Teflon from entering and clogging the line when you screw it into the asa or the valve.

You might want to send the gun in under the warranty though. If you tamper with the valve, you could void the warranty.
