    Posted: 08 February 2005 at 4:44am

I recently upgraded my a5 with a r.t. and i have had trouble with balls breaking after 3-4 shoots.  It doesnt matter how fast i have the r.t. set it still does the same thing.  The only other mods i have done in compressed air, a new front bolt star style.  The problem still was there before any mods.  It never broke a ball trying to shoot before the R.T.  I tried replacing the ball detent and it didn't if anyone has any ideas please help.

                        Thanks

There may be a stronger sear spring you need to put in. Also, that front bolt is crap and could be causing the problem. Try taking that out.

It sounds like to me that maybe your gun never had the experience of shooting as fast before the R/T.  I have heard a lot of problems with the star bolt busting balls.  There are a few things to try first

1.  Remove Star bolt, and try again

2.  Try a new batch of paintballs (the ones your shooting may be no good.

3.  Check and make sure you cyclone feed is clean and does not have any sharp edges on it.

Your velocity screw could be broken. Check it. Second, check the cyclone feed system to make sure there are no sharp edges.

is the starfire bolt longer than your stock one?

Also, when was the last time you cleaned and lubed your cyclone.
