What range of velocity do stock A-5s come from the factory with. I'm sure its a pretty big margin, I'm just wondering what kinds of readings have you all been seeing. Thanx |

The range doesnt really matter, because your velocity should never go above 300. Its best to keep it around 280 incase of a velocity spike.

Leave it at 300. You could hurt someone if it was more, and less doesnt help too much. |

Get it Chronographed My 98 was shooting 380+ out of the box. Get it Chronographed before you use it. Less than 300 is the rule. |

Yes. You will need to experiment with both velocity and brand of paint to achieve optimum accuracy. Especially since the Tippmann's velocity is adjusted by interupting airflow instead of using more or less air like other markers. |

Every gun comes with a different velocity from the factory. You need a chronograph to know what velocity your gun is. There is no other safe way to find out.

Yep, first time I chrono'd my stock A-5 it was at 380 fps. Most people will recommend a setting of 270 if you have a flatline. Most rec ball fields I think play at 280 for day play and night play is around 220fps and the speedballers play at 300fps. (ouch) |
