you are not polishing any parts just inside the receivers were the parts go just take the gun apart and look at the inside of the receivers and you will see all of the black paint that over sprayed and thats what you get off

ok this is exactly what you do,step by step, for a m98 or 98c

  1. remove tank
  2. unscrew ASA
  3. remove barrel
  4. unscrew receiver screws
  5. remove left half of receiver
  6. remove all parts
  7. unscrew valve screws on right side of marker(careful they strip easy)
  8. remove valve(power tube)
  9. wipe off any oil or grease or w/e else is in there
  10. rinse off receiver halves with water
  11. dry
  12. take piece of steel wool
  13. roll it up into a ball about the size of a paintball
  14. rub against the receiver where the rear bolt slides until there is no more black,it should be pretty shiny
  15. then do where the power tube slides, the same way
  16. next, polish the trigger area in the same way
  17. do the same to the other receiver half
  18. now get a piece of steel woll about the size of your small finger nail
  19. polish the area where the rod that connects the front and rear bolt slides
  20. do the same for the other half
  21. wash the halves again
  22. dry them
  23. re-lubricate
  24. put the valve back in and screw the valve screws in
  25. put all parts back in,re-lubricate them if necessary
  26. put the receiver half back on
  27. screw in the receiver screws
  28. i hope this doesnt sound too complicated,it really isnt
  29. hi
  30. i wanted 30 steps cuz it sounds better than 28
