Draxxus and Empire to title Sponsor the 2005 International Amateur Open & Paintball Festival

Pittsburgh, PA.- The 15^th Annual International Amateur Open and Paintball Festival is gearing up for the celebration! Scheduled for July 27-31^st, 2005 just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the event already has lots to announce! National Paintball Supply has now come on board as a title sponsor with their soaring Empire line of products and the fabulous Draxxus paint brands.  The NPPL is not only sanctioning but also offering series points at this year’s event!

According to Gino Postorivo , president of NPS,  “We’ve always been a supporter of the IAO and actually launched our business there 15 years ago. For the young, up and coming players, there’s no place where they’ll have a better time, or walk away with more stuff.  I’m happy to see us playing a bigger role and working even more closely with Debra and her staff at Team Effort Events. “

The NPPL will not only be supporting the event with ref classes and membership opportunities, but will be offering teams series points. Chuck Hendsch, president of the NPPL , had this to say, “ The IAO is the longest running Amateur Event in the History of our sport. The need to offer a tournament venue in the Northeast United States for D2 and D3 teams to earn NPPL Super 7 World Series points is necessary. The IAO being a stand alone event with an enormous reputation for attracting top notch rookie and novice teams is the perfect event to add to the NPPL circuit. With the NPPL Super 7 t. World Series growing exponentially over the past two years it is important to establish a solid player tracking and tournament ranking system that is fair and legitimate for teams and players. The IAO, in keeping with NPPL standards and formatting, will be offering 7-man rookie and novice divisions ( D-2 and D-3) , along with a 3-man and Young Guns division. “We’re thrilled that we finally have strategic partners that can assist us in offering an unparalleled week of fun, education and shopping for anyone that plays paintball. The Four Points Sheraton will go back to being the heart of the event as “Paintball Party Central” Under new management, they also are now partners in the quest to return  the hotel to the most famous hotel in paintball. More business and sponsorships have been acquired at this location than any other facility in the world.

For non-tournament players, BlackCat Productions will be offering “The Dukes of Hazard” scenario game over the weekend. Combining the tournament, scenario game, massive tradeshow, industry conference, players clinics, Owners Group Division and 15^th Anniversary Celebrations – you won’t want to miss The 2005 Draxxus/Empire International Amateur Open and Paintball Festival .
