I just fired my 98 custom for the first time today, and I noticed some
oil leaking from the top of the marker. When I looked closer
later on, I saw that the rear receiver bolt was not tight. Even
worse, it was stripped, so I couldn't tighten it up. Any ideas?

can you get it out at all?
If not,you need to drill off the head and put in a new bolt. |

If its loose enough it should be easy to get out. Just get a peice of paper towel, put it over the head, and stick the allen wrench in. If its loose enough you dont need much grip and it should come right out. If it doesnt, buy an extractor bit at your local hardware store. |

Forgot to mention, do not use the Tippmann wrenches. They are made of soft metal and strip easy, in turn stripping the heads of the bolts. Get a good set of wrenches (Usually shiny metal) to avoid future problems. Its OK to use the Tippmann ones in a pinch, or as a spare set on the field, but shy away. That comes from a Tippmann tech.

What brutl_force has stated that drilling off the head of the bolt is the best way of removing the stripped bolt but, it goes further than that.....how is it possible to remove the bolt once the head has been drilled off....you would have to take your marker apart as if you were doing some maintenance inwhich that is what you are going to do anyway.
