Sniper Nests..... say w00t?

We went out before the rain an managed to get about a few more sniper nest made.

Question is:

Do you guys ever use em'?  If so how do you make yours?

   You get shot on the way up? You really need to make some friends and become a team player and use some tactics. Have your team mates give you cover fire while you get in.  You can pin people down with the increased angle and give your team mates a better chance to advance and take them out.
   If a couple of your team mates get taken out then move out while the remaining players can still cover you. Do not sit there till you are the only one left then you truly are a deadman and you deserve it.

Yeah, towers can be tough to play properly. I find they actually work better as an observation post than as a nest for shooting out of. Generally if you can hit them, they can hit you- and somewhere like a tower is generally pretty confined, so you don't have a lot of room to move around. Also, getting down from one under fire can be a pain in the ass.

Vigilante pegged it- don't just sit there. Either sue the tower for observation, for HEAVY fire support (spray and pray, or get your favorite pet speedballer to park up there with his 17bps monster and go to town), or get out of it and fight up close.

Paintballs don't work too effectively at long range, so while it can be a good place to observe from, as a shooting platform it's generally only very good when they start getting really close. That beig said, as we say in the infantry, time spent on recon is never wasted. That observer CAN make a big difference in the right circumstances, generally in guiding the troops on the ground in a mroe efective counterattack.
