In the manuel it says if you remove the gas line fitting you will need paste or teflon tape to reinstall it. What kind of paste are they talking about, Tacky Gule? Super gule? And it would help me alot if i knew how much to apply because getting the sucker off was kind of difficult.

The "white paste" they are refering to is liquid teflon. This is a good, but messy plumbing sealant. Not very practical for paintball guns though. Teflon tape (thin white tape, also called plumbers tape) is sooooo much better, and Loctite is ok but I dont reccomend it. For the teflon tape wrap 3-4 layers clockwise starting about 2 threads up. Its not very hard to remove either. The reason yours was hard to remove is because Tippmann uses Loctite, or liquid teflon to factory seal the lines. This stuff hardens and seals and isnt very easy to get off. |

ugh, after my bad experiences with loc-tite, I am totally against it. Never use loc-tite again.

So teflon tape is really thin tape that you wrap around the hose threads and just screw on? or am i missing something?

yes, teflon tape, also called plumbers tape is a thin white tape.
It's used primarily to wrap threads to prevent leakages. Go to a
local hardward store, and they are sure to have teflon tape
there. As for how you use it, wrap it a few times around the
threads, and then screw the thing together. The tape is thin
enough to allow the threads to tighter, but it prevents leakage.
