hi there .a friend of mine bought a custom 98 with a flatline barrel .we have tried many times now to install the barrel and it just bursts every other ball in the barrel .it isnt accurate and does not give the extra distance it says it gives .we have a few custom 98`s without the flatline so its easy to compare them .we have also tried various balls and still the same thing , 1 in 5 balls will burst .same marker with stock barrel ,turned upto full power and not 1 balll will burst no matter how many we run thru it ..

any ideas ?

Hello and welcome to Tippmann.   First off try turning your fps down to 250-260's and try it. Also ,what type of paint have you tried? The flatline likes good paint and will drive you nuts if it's not very good quality. There is a sticky at the top of the Upgrades and Customizing section that goes over all the flatline stuff try there first ,if you haven't already.

Dude, Ive had my flatline for a year and i luv it.  Just buy a good squeegee (A big fat one) and clear it out.  Then when u screw it in, make sure the little mark on the top of the barrel is perfectly in line with the shroud.  Then turn ur velocity adjuster screw all the way in and slowly turn it out. Then just fire away.
Make sure you keep the breech and barrel clean at all times!
