Have installed E-Bolt on one 98C in the family and getting ready to install another on my marker. First impressions after 3 sessions on the speedball field are VERY favorable. Less massive bolt slamming around reduces vibration and fast triggering stays on target. Impresses the Angel and Cocker players. It seems to offer advantages over the E-Grip. Anyone else finding the E-Bolt superior to the E-Grip?

Ive been wondering that too...i think its worth the money, im trying to urge my dad to e-bolt his 98 so i can sell my cocker and A-5 so I can just save my money for a gun like a shocker, maybe a proto.

Anyways, I like e-bolts, they're cool.

I love mine It rules. I got mine for $70.

I dont think I would have spent 250 for one though.

Ebolt $250 + $130 For the 98c = $380

Maybe you could get a Icd

Or used High end

BUT I LOVE MINE DONT GET ME WRONG....

The reason is that not many people were willing to spend more on an upgrade than they did for the whole gun. Tippmann wasn't selling very many and with BSI claiming to have a better E-Bolt they were making less and less sales.

So they discontinued it and are coming out with a cheaper sear tripper kit.
A-5
E-Grip
JCS Dual Trigger
DOP X-CORE 8 stage x-chamber
Lapco Bigshot 14" Beadblasted

Optional setup:
R/T
Dead on Blade trigger

Ebolt>any sear tripper

Electro-Pnue discontinued for a spyder-like sear tripper is just wrong.

I have thought about getting an E-bolt but I really don't see the advantages, I have a surgical steel upgraded bolt it is super light and it cycles so fast but I play rec ball and scenario, mabye when I am living on my own and working I'll get one but until then I will still use my current setup

BUT, many people think nothing of buying a Kevlar or Carbonfiber wrapped nitro tank that costs twice what the marker cost! Looking to upgrade my marker to be a bit more competitive spending $225 for the E-bolt was not an out of line cost...particularly since I bought this original marker off EBay for about $45 well used.

Last speedball match my son and I were admiring a Cocker with a Q-Loader. I had a lot of questioins about the Q-Loader to which he said wait until you get a GOOD gun. My son handed him his 98C with a Halo B, Palmer Stabilizer and E-Bolt. The guy was blown away. He actually was able to out shoot the Halo hopper.
