About a year ago I bought a 14 inch Teardrop for my 98 Custom and it has performed pretty well. Up until about a month ago, I had always used Zap Rec Series from Academy Sports or Diablo Dusk in it. I know that both of these are lower quality paints, but I was on a budget. Now that I am starting to play in some tournies, I need some better performing stuff. On most barrel charts, the Teardrop is listed as a medium bore barrel at .688 or .689. The Rec Series paint was also considered medium, but it was so inconsistent that sometimes the paint would just slide on down the barrel, and sometimes it wouldn't even fit. Last week I picked up a 1000 round case of JT Predator and some fell through, and some were perfect where I could gently blow them through. The only problem was that this paint was very pricey for a 1000 round case and I have been unable to find it online. I read a bunch of reviews on Zap Spank and I found that I can get it for $30 with free shipping from www.flatratepaintball.com. Do any other Teardrop owners have some suggestions for good, yet mid priced paint?
Thanks. |

If you're playing in tournies your going to want tourny level paint.
It needs to fly true and break on target. |
