    Posted: 26 June 2005 at 10:20am
I have a problem with the cyclone feed on my A5. It seems that every couple of months or so it will quit feeding. I will send the marker in to Tippmann for repair and it will come back in a couple of weeks working great. This happens several times a year. My sons get a little edgey when their markers are gone for a month or two a year.
Does someone know what part it is that keeps failing?
If I knew what part I could just keep them on hand for a quick fix instead of a couple of weeks.
Is there an aftermarket part that will last longer?
Thanks for whatever help you can provide.

This just happened to mine for the first time yesterday.   Sucks when you're in the heat of battle, and all of the sudden you're shooting air with a full hopper, and you have to manually spin the cyclone between each shot.

Hey, thanks everyone. I took apart the cyclone feed and found the broken part. It was the ratchet. I am going to buy 3 of them, 1 for the marker and 2 spares. It should only take about 10 minutes to fix when it breaks. You all have saved me a lot of time and effort here.
