I was looking at the J&J Ceramic with the teflon in it and I was wondering if that teflon bathroom spray for your tub or toilet or that teflon car wax would work. That way you could have any barrel and it would be slick with the teflon. |

it would work to put it in the barrel, but to get it in an even coat inside
could be a problem. for testing the idea, use a crappy stock barrel and see if it makes it more accurate. if you can pull it off, it would be incredibly awesome |

you wouldnt be able to do it. the spray would be thinner in the middle of the barrel...

If you used one of those red tube that extends from a can of WD-40 it would reach farther in. And if it doesn't fit on the teflon spray bottle would WD-40 work? |

If you had a way to rotate the barrel until it dried it might work.

The_blade has the right idea. All you are really gonna do with the teflon spray is to fill in any little pits or striations.
Running a squeegie through will accomplish this. |

I thought real Teflon like on pans and how they do the J&J ceramic is baked on so its pretty much permanent and the spry on stuff will rub off after a while. but if you do it the day before you play I guess It would probably work for that whole day. |

If it is uneven, it will probably work like oil in the barrel and make the ball spin in one direction. This would make it unnaccurate. If you could make it stick in an even coating, I have no idea what it would do.

The bathroom cleaners are like a bleach cleaner with teflon to help keep from getting as dirty again. To make your barrel easier to clean, Rain-X has been used by many. Use a small piece of cloth on your squeegy (the kind with a sloted tip), saturate it with RainX, then run it through your barrel a few times to get it evenly damp inside. Let it dry, then use a clean patch to polish it up. You'll have to do this every time you you play though to keep it even, otherwise it will cause different parts of the barrel to have different amounts of friction and that will have a detrimental effect on your accuracy.
I used to do this, but it's not really worth the effort. |

I've heard of people doing this with a product called "Rain-X"
It fills in all the tiny, tiny pores in a surface, so that water does not stay on windshields, blurring your vision. In a paintball barrel, doing such a thing would enable you to really clean your barrel by simply shooting a few times. I know theres a few people on here who did it. |

i was thinking just put it in a bucket (this would cost a lot) and then dip your barrel in. Of course if you had a cover for the bucket you could do it everytime you needed a new coat...
