    Posted: 08 July 2005 at 7:48pm

i just got an ebolt and i can't get it to work right, it wont move bolt to hit the valve. I heard air leaking from the grip area, so i removed the grip and found all all the air is going out a hole on the board, anyone know what to do?

The green line shows har far the air goes to, the blue circle shows where all the air is going out, and the red ofcourse is where i need the air to go.

blown seal in the solenoid. or the post is stuck.

As long as it doesn;t void your warranty, take the noid off the board. Then on a clean flat towel take the end screws off the solenoid. Place all your parts in order (and orientation). If you need help with orientation, take some colored nail polish and put a strip down one side of the solenoid.

Using just a tiny bit of Hoppes9, lubricate the main solenoid post. Using a magnifying glass, check the seals on the post for any nicks or cracks.

Is it leaking there all the time, or just when you fire.  If it's all the time, try adjusting your low pressure regulator (on the e-bolt asa).  It's supposed to be turned down so that it just stops leaking.  This doesn't really explain why it won't fire at all, but you have a problem there (TG may be right here...)

Does the hole look to be intentionally created.  Check all the o-rings and stuff also.

Tippy279: The hole he is referring to is the venting port for the solenoid.

I point the source of the problem to be the solenoid. Although it wouldn;t be a bad idea to check the LPR pressure to the noid.

Its the ASA Regulator,

the noid is getting to much psi so it has an emergency vent,

to solve that:

gas up your gun, Turn down the Reg, on the asa until it stops leaking

I'd say that if it is not that your regulator is running too high pressure to the board...if it is not that simple, then send it back to Tippmann, whether under warranty or not, to be fixed correctly.
