The palmer stabilizer says it takes anywhere from 1.5K to 3K shots to break it in.  Is there any reason why I need to do that with paintballs?  I figure I can break it in with both paintballs or dry fire when I get the urge to hear the sound of the Tippy.  Do you think dry firing it will also break the stab in???

Thanks in advance...

well when you dry fire some of the c02 leaks out before it leaves the barrel because it doesnt have the paintball to slow it down so it gives it time to change fully but the dry firing would work perfectly as long as u werent running around shootin full auto or else ull start shooting icecicles. but if u lay on ur couch and watch some tv while firing 2 bps it should work out fine.

go to a field where you get an all day air ticket, and go in the shooting range until you fire about 2000-2500 times, and see if your consistency is getting better
Sig is WAY too big.

That's why I was thinking of dry firing.  That's a lot of $$$ to waste on paintballs.  I'd like it to be broken in before I get out and play, again...

All the Stabilizer is looking at is gas flow and cycles to seat the parts. Dry firing is as good as shooting paint...but why even waste the gas? While the Stabilizer is breaking in it may creep a bit, but it, even then, will provide more uniformity than when just the tank was screwed into the marker. Go play paintball with it.

Yes definately its not like your going to shoot worse with a reg thats not broken in, than shooting without one at all.

GO BUCKS!!!

Thanks for saving me some money...I didn't even think that an unstable reg would be better than no reg at all.  My wife appreciates the saving.  (Little does she know I'll just spend the money on something else fun...)

More fun than dryfiring and will pay for themselves.

I just let my play time break mine in. When it wasn't broken in, the worst my velocity changed was about 10fps IIRC.
