Hey gus,
Ive had my A-5 flatline for about 5 months now and im lving it. However, latley its really not been living up to its standards. Everyone on the fourms always raves about how great their A-5 is and how everyone should buy one, but at the moment, im really not impressed. The first couple of months with my a-5 were great because shooting a paintball gun is hella fun...but now im getting into the phaze where quality of gunn makes the difference. Does anyone have any suggestions as to parts i could ad on to increase my a-5's preformance. The other thing ive noticed is that the Flatline slows down the balls dramatically. It gets to the point where my friends can swat my balls out of the air. Is my PS1 to low? or is that just a visual effect? All my friends are telling me to get a new gunn but im so hessitant because i love the cyclone feed and the "feel" of the A-5.
Please post back any suggestions/ comments.

Slow moving ball from a flatline is just an optical illusion.  But if your friends feel that they can really swat paintballs out of the air, I'll be happy to educate them otherwise.

storm is right.

taking the A-5 from the good marker that it is to the marker it can be isn't cheap. it all depends on how much money you are willing to spend on the preformance. things to consider are...

HPA as your air source, a palmer stabalizer, an e-grip or r/t, polishing your internals, RVA. these are the basics

these are all items that will improve the marker.

so, how much do you have? everything besides the HPA tank (since its the most expensive) it would run around 200-250 dollars. i don't know much about the different tank prices for HPA so i won't quote you on that.

if you flatline is shooting so slow that your friends can swat them down, then you aren't even shooting 20 feet and its not accutate.

your friends are probably just giving you a hard time becasue they think that their markers are better. you should be sotting the flatline with small bore paint, the smoother the seam the better. soft shells should be avoided, and at 275ish FPS. at that speed, they cannot be caught or swatted. they will hit them and break. and its not slow. unless your buddies are shooting hot which is dangerious anyways.

so, let us know what you are willing to spend and we can spend you to the store to get the right product.

If people can "swat" balls out of the air from your flatline, then the ball is already dropping. That just means that you are shooting at the farthest extent of the flatlines range. Which is still twice what your friends can reach, so just move up and still shoot them.
