I did'nt know where this would be placed under, but do you think your 98custom is playable with only one valve screw in the right reciver of your gun?

Its just DANDY I find one of my threads stripped on my right reciever

No.

I guess in some universe this could be considered "thoughts & opinions" as opposed to "maintenance"

Just not sure if its this universe.

i stripped mine and one wouldnt go in so i only had one in.  I played and messed up my power tube and valve.  Just order the items that need fixing from tippmanns 1800 number if you've had your gun for less than a year.  If not it'll cost you money.  So anyways you shouldnt play with it like that and if you have you did what i did.  So get the neccesary parts and put them on

nah you dont send your gun, you call and have them send you the parts, and then you take it to your local proshop and have them do it.  If you bought your gun there, usually they'll repair stuff free

Just go in your garage and look for a screw with the right threading.

I've had mine for several years and they still sent me a replacement ball detent for free.

I'm sure they'll do the same for a powertube screw.

Thats what the "no" meant. No it will not be okay. You will make a bad situation worse when all the stress on that one screw point tears the threading out of the potmetal valve. Then you need a new bolt AND a new valve.

Its 10-32 threaded. Take out the other one, hit the hardware store, fix it for 10 cents, then become a member of the very elite "i put valve bolts in and didnt strip the threads like a fool" club.

Wait a minute. The body doesn't have any threads. The bolt screws into the valve. If you have stripped threads you need a new valve. Call Tippmann, they'll send you one for free usually.
Is God real? You'll find out when you die.

Okay, I don't have a clever signature zinger. So sue me.
