Yeah I know how i would make a halo movie

Step 1: Build 2 sets

Step 2: Film the entire movie on the same 2 sets and hope nobody notices

Step 3: Profit.

Yup, they went to into detail. I fell in love with Halo because of its huge environments, it was great. Halo 2 was a let down.

hey now enos, you forgot the third set. The outdoor area. Shoot it once in the spring and then once in the winter with snow on it. That'll go in nicely with the circle room and the long hallway.

I could say that about any shooter.That description fits Half Life nicely and that game was brilliant.

Halo ruined my life too. When I play a game or watch tv, I always use to rest my feet on this little glass thing covering the DVDs on my stand thing, and I would always lean back. One time I was playing and I leaned back to far, and I kicked my feet out to try to catch myself, and accidentally kicked the glass too hard, it shattered EVERYWHERE, with no pieces bigger than a 1/4 of a dime. That sucked.

Maybe if you are completely ignorant of level design, or gameplay, or suspense.

HL had scripted scenes that enhanced the story. It had intelligent monster spawns, and decent AI. HL didnt rely on 50 tiny things swarming straight at you every 10 feet. The only challenge in halo is shooting the tiny pieces of crap with the worst control system known to man. If you play it on a real system like a PC, its CAKE with a mouse.

Its just mind numbingly boring. The outdoor levels are nicely done, ill give it that, but the indoor maps FAIL UTTERLY. The first few levels are interesting, then it descends into retardism.

"Hey uhhh master chief, theres some thing at the bottom of this generic alien dungeon we need you to go get"

*floor one, kill some aliens*
*floor two is identical to floor one, kill aliens in slightly different places*
*floor three is the same as floor one*

etc etc etc. And theres at least TWO MAPS LIKE THAT!

I quit playing it in the "library".

"Hey uhh master chief, follow this little robot dude"

*walk 10 feet, glass breaks, 50 aliens come out, kill them*
"keep following me"
*walk 10 feet, door breaks, 50 aliens come out, kill them*

etc etc etc



The one thing that halo actually managed to do better than HL was avoiding the instant-death situation where you walk around a corner, and a sniper blasts you in the face instantly. Better hope you saved. The only way to proceed in a situation like that is to know EXACTLY WHAT TO DO and reload your saved game about 10 times. Crap like that is a complete failure of intelligent game design.

But the bottom line is halo isnt even in the same ballpark as HL. Let alone in the same UNIVERSE as a game like system shock 2, deus ex, or thief.
