The Easiest way to attain a walkable trigger is the E-bolt kit for the 98. With a true mech using a sear limits the how light the pull can be. No matter how you cut it there is limits.

It means pulling the trigger with two fingers, alternating which finger pulls
the trigger with every shot. |

the only way you are going to walk a trigger is to use two fingers. So, unless he has really small hands, I dont see that happening. He can just move his trigger finger somewhat fast, which will be nothing compared to someone who can actually walk a trigger. Also, get a double trigger, since noone has mentioned it and you didnt specify what you have already. Edited by Gerbil of Doom |

NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

Don't mess with your sear spring. The sear spring moves the sear back into
place and does not push against the trigger. The drive spring is what pushes the sear against the trigger. Replacing the drive spring with a lighter one will make your trigger pull somewhat lighter. |

The 98 trigger does not lend itself to tuning. I have tried. The things that would make it light and remain dependable require major changes in the way the parts fit. (tight fitting pins and bushings, plastic parts re-fabricated from metal) All the advise about installing lighter springs and polishing the internals may have merit, but do little to nothing to make the trigger walkable. The most straight forward way to make the trigger walkable is to install an E-Bolt or adapt a sear tripper from the Custom Pro or some other electric marker. This changes the trigger system from the mechanical to the electrical. At that point the pressure required to fire the marker is just enough to click the electric switch. To take full advantage of the change to electric you will also have to install a double trigger with fore and aft trigger stops. With just those changes and the E-Bolt installed in my 98C I can maintain a continuous 11-12 bps well enough to empty my hopper in about 12 to 15 seconds. Some will tell you that you have to have an electric hopper to run that fast. Actually that is not true. The feed rate of a gravity feed hopper is completely up to the job. The problem is the the paint balls get jammed where they try to go into the feed neck of the hopper. This doesn't cause chops, this just just causes noting to come out of the marker when you pull the trigger...requiring you to shake the gun to get things flowing again. I received a Halo B as a gift, and it works well. But, agitator types may work just as well at the obtainable rate of fire. |

Massive trigger mods will get that thing walking but your sure to get double firing or runaway. Just get an E-bolt.

It's hard to walk a mechanical trigger. You can modify it to make it a
little faster, but for high bps you are going to need to go
electric.

Pen spring mod will do almost nothing for you when the marker is aired
up. Hell you can take out the trigger spring, its not even needed.
A trigger stop will help if you do it right. Never mess with your sear spring. Polishing internals doesnt really have any solid proof as to whether or not it helps. Edited by You Wont See Me |

so some trigger mods. Do a search on the forum, but I believe it's
sticked in a thread called "uber upgrades" or something. Stuff like
replacing the trigger spring with pen spring, making a trigger stop,
polishing the internals, replacing the sear spring with another pen
spring. This will all help.
