I was thinking about repainting my gun and making it black instead of red. Its a Spyder Compact. I was wondering what is the best way to go about stripping off the old paint without roughing up the actualy body of the gun that bad. Any ideas?

your gun is annodized, not painted. You will need a good acid if you want to remove just the Anno.

If you send it in to get reannoed, they will usually strip ittoo for a small fee.

Easy Off oven cleaner will strip off any anodized parts that you need , I learned that from my other "hobby" RC nitro monster trucks, just spray it on and leave it for awhile

how long did you end up having to leave it on there for before you finally get all the ano off?
