My friend says that tippmann guns are based around co2, and that they work the best with co2. He says that hpa can damage the gun even more than c02 because it isnt "based" around co2. I said that the co2 is worse because it ruins the plastic parts inside your gun if u shoot hot or let liquid co2 in. Could someone please clear this up, thank you. Sry if this in the wrong section.

almost any pb markers will shoot co2 hpa is cleaner than co2 co2 has to be converted from a liquid to a gas for it to power a marker, if you worried about letting liquid co2 into your marker,get your tank anti-syphoned, or use an x chamber,or even a remote. true co2 will cause your rubber orings to break over time.but a lot of plp use co2,so I would not worry to much about it. welcome to the forum

heh, there goes that cleaner bs again. Seriously, put an inline filter on a CO2 gun and one on an HPA gun. See which one is cleaner.

Tippmann valves are built to handle CO2. As are Palmer regulators. Doesn;t mean they won;t work with HPA though. Sounds like your friend is making stuff up off the top of his head to sound smarter than you.

nah, CO2 is fine. If you want, it'll make your marker work better, get an expansion chamber or remote and or a regulator. I would actually recommend going with hpa if you can. It is better than CO2.
NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

Yea i have hpa, 45/45 dye throttle, my friend is just full of it.

I have my A5 since June 2005 and I shoot with this gun on my first competition in 18.09.2005. Since I'd bought it I'd heard some leaking noise on the barrel but I'd tried to stop it. On my first training I didn't heard the noise but after 6 games in the competition my A5 down because the valve and that especialy because the valve orings who became bigger than standard. I want to know if this behaviour it's usual at TIPPMANN A5 and what's the problem with CO2 and A5 valve orings...???

I thought that TIPPMANN have a big experience in this way and make the strongest guns in this world but...A5 have real problems with the reliability and the resistence. Isn't posible to shoot 400 - 500 time and the gun let you down.

I'm from Romania and for me isn't posible to change the spear parts without to buy a repair kit for this A5. If the TIPPMANN Technical Team hear me and they want to have a good name in my country please resolve my A5 problem very soon because I'll have another competition in 09.10.2005. Thanks.

Tippmann tech doesnt come on here anymore.

As far as the leaking goes, there is a frequently asked questions/problems section on this website. You can also use the search button to help you find the solution.

I dont own an a-5 but the people I know that have them, dont have many problems with them.

Back to the original topic, your friend is partially right. The first Tippmanns were built to use the CO2 liquid. But over all, you should kick him in the shins for screwing with your head.

CO2 did not cause those "O" rings to swell. It is likely that the wrong lubricating oil was used.
