Well get the custom pro unless your set on beefing up your 98. First get an ebolt, small drop nothing to big, HPA, Good barrel (J&J, All American, or a decent kit like the evil pipe J&J edge or freak Jr.), Get a rufus dog centerfeed mod done and a eggy or halo to feed that beast and thats it. |

I wouldn't go putting 500+ bucks into your 98c. What will end up happening is you'll sell your 98c for a better gun once you get tired of it, and get less than half of what you paid for everything. I would just make your 98c an all around good gun. Heres what I"d put on it; new barrel, E-bolt, Double trigger, HPA and a Reg. And if you ever get a new gun, you can also use the reg and HPA bottle you got for your 98. |

Get a new gun. Don't waste the money on a Tippmann. You most likely regret it.

^^ gsw.3, you can't get a WAS board for the E-bolt. Only for the E-grip for the A-5 and CP. Just to clear that up.

Ebolt,Warlock board, blade trigger,Hpa,Center feed,egg2,small drop, lpk, good reg,dye grips, polished innys, custom paint or powder coat, pipe barrel kit or 10in lapco bigshot, or your can just get a differnt gun, tippmanns have horrable resale value and most people just get bored with em. If you play woodz ball get a good 10-14in barrel or flatline, camo paint or graphics, cyclone,RT,Hpa,folding stock,Red dot scope, Fome ball grenade luncher,Remote, and if you want get a 2x trigger. |

i agree with everyone on spending too much on a 98, but (if you have your heard set on a tippy forever) this would be the best setup:
E-Bolt LPK 2x trigger(w/ mods) center feed egg2 hopper drop Dye Sticky 3s polished internals new paint/grafix mill letters and rear site off |

Tell you what I have done to mine. It is no longer just a Tippmann. It'll shoot/walk with the best on the Speedball field: E-Bolt Modified Tippmann Double Trigger (added fore and aft trigger stops, removed the trigger return spring completely...careful, trigger pull is so light you may inadvertently shoot yourself) HPA (low pressure output) 90/4500 Nitro Duck with drop forward LPK Palmer Direct Stabilizer (with its LPK) Rufus Dawg Wicked Bolt (after trying several other after market bolts) And the "piece de resistance" an Apex barrel (sold my two Flatlines!)

with or without HPA that set-up will function fantastic. Edited by Panda Man |

I'm curious as to why everyone keeps suggesting the center feed?
I personally don't like center feeds, but then I don't play speedball.

Centerfeeds just put the icing on the cake. If you want the thing upgraded to its fullest you have to put one on the gun. All the faster the thing feeds so you can waste more money buying paint because you are shooting 30 bps.

my 98c (my signiture) it is a great woods and speedball gun. it is light and compact but not to much, just right. high ROF, for speedball and great at laying down some paint for cover in the woods.
