What about the flag waving in the backround? No wind in space! Your thoughts. |

I think that they used enough sense to put the pole on top of the flag, so it hung freely.
But it was still fake, cause the government always lies. |

There is little friction on the moon and that pole was made out of
aluminum and had a bar going across the top to hold it up. When they
let go of the pole it sprung to straight and kept going back and forth
and the flag had no choice but to follow. With no wind resistance to
slow it down it would have gone on for a very long time. The ripple
effect doesn't require wind.

Yes, I'm afraid that we landed on the moon and that things that are complicated and/or difficult to believe actually do happen.
I have little personal practical experience with the laws of physics in space or low gravity, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that a few things might defy what I had surmised in passing. Edited by reifidom |

I did a speech on it in grade 8...
I'm agnostic on the idea, though it would make sense to fake it, if you can't make it. At the time there was a huge pressure to be the first on the moon, as the Russians managed to get to space first. There were a few points I brought up, such as a photo of the astronaut stepping on the moon and creating the famous footprint, through looking at his foot, it wasn't aligned with the actual print, almost as if it had been placed prior. Then again, his foot could have just slid. |

yeah, if they were going to fake it, theyd use real dirt/dust on the
set, and they still would have had him make the foot print.
thats one thing that they wouldnt have faked

On the contrary, they would have made the imprint before as dirt/earth, up there does not react the same way as down here, up there the prints would still be completely preserved.
Then again, there's no saying what they would or would not do. |

There are lots of people who conspirize (I may have just invented that word...) that we did not land on the moon. No use to debate it, just sit back and wait. Isn't there a space probe to be lauched be either Japan or China in '06 that will take lots of photos of the Moon. In that will be the definative proof.
