98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

Plywood? That always makes good bunkers. But I'd get an HPA tank for your gun. |

And if your only reasoning is that its better than an A-5 then you my friend are wrong. If you spend the same amount of money on both guns they're going to come out to be about the same performance wise. Sure the ion wannabe has eyes and can get 2 more bps than the Cyclone, but with the cyclone you dont need eyes and 2bps more is nothing for most woods players who dont even shoot that high. And I'd be betting that thing is going to be very heavy, notice how smart parts doesn't list a weight on their website. Hell, for $425 you could get a much better gun than that and still be able to use it in the woods. Edited by You Wont See Me |

go to a feed and grain store and ask them for some plastic 55 gallon drums. Take em home and gut em in half down the middle. Put a stake through the bottom of it into the ground. These make pretty good bits of cover because you can squeeze into the half shell a bit to avoid fire from different angles. They are pretty cheap too....something like 15-25 bucks each. Plus you get two bits of cover from one barrel.

I hope you're joking about it being heavy. I REALLY hope you're joking. Nobody over the age of ten shoudl EVER complain about the weight of aNY paintball marker. They simply don't way that much. Maybe it's not just bps he's looking at, but also the fact that this thing looks like an XM8 rifle, and would be the shizz for MilSim. Granted, it's just a fancy ion, but an ion is a perfectly capable marker as well. I personally still wouldn't reccommend the SP8 though- wait for the MKX8 from JCS. It appears to be a superior mechanical alternative to the SP8. That being said, I wouldn't mind having either in my closet, myself. and of course, how long until someone buys an SP8 shell and mods it to an Ariakon or Tippamnn? Edited by brihard |

Try to keep the thread on-topic...
Plywood... X-shape. Holds itself up. Cut a sheet in half. Then cut slots in the middle of each section, half way up. Interlock the sections together via the slots... X-shaped plywood bunker. This also provides a 3-dimensional bunker so that it can be used from all angles, and not just from front-to-back. The plastic 55gal drums can also be had from car washes... often for free. Worth a try. As for what else to add for your field? Depends on your budget. If you don't already have a good chronograph... I'd start with that before anything else. |
