Unlees you plan on getting your gun wet while playing, get the E-Grip. You have more modes than the R/T, and if you ever get into tourney ball, you can use it legally.

i thought it was the other way around. i thought the r/t would be legal and the e grip not because the e grip has full auto.

No. RT is illegal for most tourney play. E-grip is legal because while it does have a full-auto mode... it is one of several mode choices. Semi-auto (tourney legal) being one of them.

My opinion... E-grip. I never liked RT much. Never wanted to bother with finding the "Sweet spot". Just pick up and play for me.

E Grip and r/t can both shoot at full auto. R/t is not as easy, but you can do it.

Go with the r/t all the way! Mech is the way to go. No batteries to worry about dying while you are in the middle of an intense firefight. There is also the chance you could get the e-grip wet. The r/t is cheaper and has the potential to be extremely fast.

Since this is for woodsball, I wouldn't assume you would be entering many tournys. In the case that you do enter tournemts, I would infact buy the e-grip.

r/t, the ppl that don't like the r/t are the ones that can't sweet spot it under pressure, and if you want to make it tourney legal there is a screw that makes it disfunctional, and all you have to do is take the line out, sweet spotting the r/t just takes practice.  I would also tell tippmann you want teh Low pressure hoses and fittings for the r/t on your gun to get the "super r/t effect" its faster than the normal r/t.  besides, if the e-grip gets wet your pretty much screwed.  R/t is also faster than the e-grip, but you better get a moterized hopper for it because if you don't it will chop like crazy.
98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

Its the usual new-to-the-forum bump.

Down boy. It was meant to humour, not aggravate.
