Hi I just got R/T and compress air with remote, however, when i use
co2, the r/t shoot ALOT faster than compress air (with same adjustment
for r/t), is it true that r/t is faster with co2 or just simple
adjustment with compressair?
thanks! |

A nitro tank puts out very consistent pressure, at 750-850 psi, depending on the tank. A CO2 tank puts out 1100+ psi when full, significantly less when almost empty. The higher pressure from a full CO2 tank allows the RT to shoot faster than a nitro tank. The nitro tank has the major advantages, however, of maintaining pressure and not causing freeze. So it may take some tweaking to get your RT shooting as fast as it was, but IMO it is worth the effort. You will want to implement the straw mod and super RT mod, and perhaps remove your trigger spring, and whatever other mods you come across. You also want to use a tank that puts out 850 or more, rather than 750 or 800 psi tank. Most tanks simply say "high output", so you may need to check the tank carefully. Good luck. |

^^Yup. And I'd suggest that you do the R/T mod, to get more air the the R/T, making it more responsive. To do this, you need to call Tippmann, tell them you have the R/T and LPK (even if you don't), and ask for the larger hose and fittings. They should send them too you free of charge. Then, replace the stock R/T hose and fittings with the new, larger ones, and you have just done the super R/T mod. This should help you reach a faster rate of fire. You can also do some other mods to help improve your rate of fire. These include polishing your internals, the straw mod as Clark said, and a couple more. Just ask, and I'll explain how they're done (if interested). |

thanks all for the information, other than getting bigger hose from
tippmann what else can i do? Dont really like to remove the trigger spring as i like the hard solid feel. Also I would like to know what these numbers mean on the tank (empire hpa) dot-e 10915-4500 tc-su5134-310 ej102729 luxfer p11f-20 8 05 (is this mean the tank was hydro tested on Aug 05 and i can use it till Aug 2010?) ree 15 thanks! ![]() Edited by macrossranma |

You have to tune the R/T for the HPA

The only # you really have to worry about is the 8 05. Like you said, it's the Hydro date, and yes, you'll have to get it Re-Hydroes in 8-10. The main thing that I'd suggest that you do it polish your internals. To do this, you just need some Steel Wool (preferbly #000), then just polish (rub) wheres theres moving parts, until it's a shiny silver. You can also do the Straw Mod. All you do is take the straw from a Capri Sun, and put it over the pin that the front of the sear rests on (cut to length). You can also wrap tape around it. |

You also have to worry about the DOT# on used tanks. anything with DOT 12915, and manufactured by CGI is on recall. |
