Just bought my son a Custom Pro. Can I please get some advice on cleaning and oiling after each use? How to clean and where to oil. Thanks! |

If it is not really dirty, you can just drop 2 drops of paintball marker oil in the ASA(place where the tank screws in) before he plays the next time. Then you dry fire the marker without the barrel about 10 times to get the oil throughout the internals.
If he has choped a ball in the marker, or if it is really dirty you must take the reciever halves apart to clean it. To do this, you unscrew the allen screws on the side of the reciever half. When the reciever half comes off, memorize the location of the internal parts before continuing. Then remove the internal parts, clean them with a damp rag, and remove any paint that is in the reciever halves. Then oil the Front Bolt; Rear Hammer; and any O-Rings, and put it back together. |

I'll reccomend against oiling the front bolt. You WILL get oil in the barrel, which will give you uneven friction and put weird spins on the balls killing your accuracy. Also, when you dry fire it to get the oil into the valve, do it without the barrel attached.
