Older A-5's have a smooth black paint, so I'd guess if nobody's actually tried it, people with older A-5's already have any advantage there is to it. However if you want your cyclone faster, do a search on the QEV mod.

i was looking at my gun and notined that the rough paint is also on the hook that extends into the feed housing... has anyone else thought of or tried polishind that??
