Yes, allmost all the way out. the VA makes a big difference using
CO2, but on HPA, it doesnt make much difference at all. I have
used 2 different HPA tanks, one of them brand new.

2300 and 2900 lbs.
The tanks work fine on other guns, it is the A5 that has a problem with them. |

well I dunno what to tell you...either the tanks are low pressure..(tippmanns can only take high output) or there is something wrong inside of the A-5..heres my advice to you..take your marker apart and clean it and make sure all of the parts are there and try it again..if you still have the problem then take it toyour local shop and they will figure it out...sorry I couldnt help you out anymore but I'm completely stumped on this one..

The marker is brand new, it has less than 500 balls through it, the
shop I bought it at thought that it was my HPA tank so I bought a new
one today. It does the same thing. Both tanks are 800 lb
regulated tanks.
I will take it by the local shop and see what happens tommorrow. thank you for trying. Derek |

well try cleaning your marker first before taking it to the shop like I said earlier...it would be a shame to find out that was the problem and your now being charged for the repairs..

screw your vel.adj. all the way in then start over gradually backing it out while checking the velosity, if you have a high psi output reg. on the tank it will work just fine

This is a common problem with A-5's on HPA. The Problem Results from the fact that High Output HPA tanks have an Output or between 700-800psi, wheras CO2 tanks can hve higher outputs upto 1100psi thus giving you a higher velocity. The easiest way to fix this is to Get a Maddmann Spring Kit, or a RVA. Either of these will give you enough spring pressure on the valve to open it enough to give you a higher velocity.
