So, I was bored one day, and decided to make some spiffy upgrades for my gun. I took the stock barrel and cut it to 4", and then found a bunch of piping to build a supressor. Take note: I won't show you how to make a real supressor because it's illegal in many places. Lukily, Canada isn't one of those places. Anyways, here's a pic of the finished project. I managed to make the supressor able to screw on.
Here's the 4" barrel with the male threading: ![]() And here's the gun with the silencer attached. ![]() |

no, we really aren't lol. Anyways, up to this point i've only seen that it IS legal, and through all the firearm laws and all the criminal code it does not list the word "silencer", "supressor", or "muffler" except for where it takes note that it is prohibited in Japan. I sent them an email, if they reply and tell me it is illegal, i'll destroy the working parts of it and use it for asthetic purposes if I ever feel the need. Thanks for the comments guys :) |

Canadas Firearm laws to my understanding ar alot more strict than the US. You arent allowed to own a pistol iwthout a special permit. What is up with that? |

Only a pistol with a barrel under a certain length, because it can be an easily consealable weapon.. makes perfect sense to me. Sure you have to register just about any firearm, but thats where the tough laws end. Hehe, one law that is amazingly strict though is the law about replica weapons. It's prohibited to have a replica gun in Canada apparently, meaning (and it points this out specifically) a replica "airsoft" gun lol. I know so many people with perfect true to life airsoft guns... Meh. Anyways, we can take this to another thread :p I did another search through both the criminal code and firearms regulations, and nothing... so i'm just waiting for the email back. We don't need to argue, i'll have the true answer in a day or two, everyone happy? :) *forgot to add* Oh, and the clip for a handgun must not exceed 10 rounds without a special liscense :) Edited by RavenGuard - 13 March 2006 at 8:23am |

You should take the time to watch, bowling for Columbine. Yours laws apparantly are not doing near enough to protect your citizens, your gun related death rate is staggering. Canadians have loads of guns, everyone I know has guns in their house. I guess we must be doing something right |

I won't knock Canadian gun laws if they are working... and I cannot say whether they are or not. But I won't base American gun laws on what Michael Moore has brought to the table, as he brings no truth forth. The problem with Americans are that instead of screaming for proper ENFORCEMENT of gun laws, and handing out HEAVY sentences for those who commit crimes... the American Lefties and Michael Moore cronies simply call for more laws. More laws does not equate to safer society. A perfect example being our Nation's Capital, Washington, DC... right by me. All handguns are illegal. Having a loaded weapon in your house of ANY kind, is illegal. Yet despite those laws, people are shot and killed on a regular basis. But now we're going off on a tangent... |

As for the origional poster, neat, but how does it shoot? Thus endeth my token responce. As for Shorty, I'll take this thread a bit further off topic. Americans are great at shifting the blame for anything. We have a gang problem, a violence porblem, a drug problem, a ghettoization problem before we have a gun problem. But nobody wants to go after the roots of it. It's easier to ban handguns than stop the problems of the inner city. Boston has some very tough gun laws and some bad gun crime. Of course, they blame it on lax gun laws in other states, despite the fact that most of the guns are from this state, and that the majority of out of state gun sales they are talking about are illegal anyways. We also have a Machette problem. Not a gang problem(It's not MS-13's fault), a machette problem. http://www.knoxstudio.com/shns/story.cfm?pk=MACHETES-03-02-0 6&cat=AA Ban the machettes and MS-13 will obviously be rendered harmless and just go away. http://massbackwards.blogspot.com/ Check that for a good read. |
