hello, i just installed my r/t trigger with the larger
1/8 diameter hoses for super r/t and for my cyclone with larger diameter hoses too now. but i fired my first shot and both cyclone and response trigger not function. cyclone doesn't move, and r/t doesnt' do anything. once in a while the cyclone will move and i'll get a bounce from the r/t, but i tried backing the r/t adjuster all the way out and i can easilly press my trigger with no resistance. but i hear no fizzing of leaks. but it's not working propperly. was i supposed to add tape to the threads, or loctite? i just screwwed them in real tight and put new hoses in. could it be leaking through the barbs if i didn't put anykind of loctite on the barbs? *******UPDATE******* ****************** check my last post in this thread for what the problem ended up being, and the solution. thankgow Edited by flatlandpercy - 28 March 2006 at 5:27pm |

Is this the first time you try to use an R/T? It takes a while to get the "sweet spot" right. Do you use a normal or double trigger? Try adjusting the rate-of-fire pin until about 2 threads are visible. This will give you about 12-14 bps. Make sure that your CO2 tank is full as a low tank can hinder the operation of the R/T. Also make sure you don't pull the trigger all the way back when you fire. Pull it about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way back and it should start firing on it's own if you just hold it there. Like I said, it takes a bit of getting used to. Good luck! |

i'm not totally sure what it could be. You don't have to put teflon tape or lock tight on it. try takeing it off and make sure there is nothing blocking the way. then put it back on just don't ever tighten it.

is the fitting thats screwed in the valve and or powertube sideways, what i mean is, is the indentation part that the flatblade screw driver goes into sideways. the screw has holes in it and the indentation part needs to be facing up and down for it to flow, for the holes to be lined up with the hoses so air can get to the r/t and the cyclone

I just had this problem tonight, I got home from paintballing and my cyclone and r/t wasnt working at all. I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it, and reassembled it twice and it worked just fine. Although I think all it was was a loose screw >.<

you should have O-rings on all the bajoe fittings, sounds like you have a leak or loose connection.

no clue. Take it apart, check everything and put it back together. Maker sure all orings are there etc. Make sure you don't allow the r/t to have too much air or it'll act wierd too.
Good luck! I never had these problems. Think about buying a QEV, they probably sell them at the place you got the fitting for the cyclone. |

yo you guys it was a MAJOR leak, and i fixed it completely.
problem solved. here's what i did: i took apart everything, right up until all i had was hoses, nuts, bolts, o-rings, and everything, than i blew through every junction and all were perfect except one. i had always wondered why all of the sudden i remember when i adjust that R/T screw all the way in the piston would slide freely; well it wasn't supposed to!! in the beginning i remember with the adjuster screw for R/T all the way in, the pison wouldn't move at all, and was very hard to push my trigger, but than it was easy to move the piston so i knew something was wrong. anyhow, i found out, when i was replacing my R/T stuff with Super R/T stuff, i scratched one of the barbs. this meant that in that certain spot, there was a HUGE leak, unless i put the hose on the tip of the barb, which i did to fix it. rather than replacing the barb, i superglued my hose to the tip of it, so it wouldn't leak at all, and all is well now, meaning; when i adjust the screw for R/T all the way in, i cannot pull the trigger or move the piston, NO LEAKS NOW, YEHAW! well, i'm totally SURE this was the problem, my fault. i am guessing when my superglue dries up, the cyclone will function perfectly as well. man i was stupid to botch up that barb. let me post a picture to show you where the leak was.
i am sure glad i wasn't lazy about this, or sent it away only to find that it was my fault in the first place. now i know how the r/t works, and that i need to be more careful with air fittings. now my gun will work without me having to hit that manual load long push button thingy for this weekend my first organized paintball game. young guns scenario. http://www.younggunspaintball.com/ full auto welcome back to my paintball gun.
