I'm thinking about getting the 14" carbon fiber St!iffi barrel for my A5. Good? Bad? What are your experiences/thoughts on this? any feedback is much appreciated. i'm thinking of buying a new barrel to replace my hideous stock barrel later today. Stiffis are great barrels. Very light and accurate. I like them a lot. It's a good choice.

St!ffi's in my opinion the best barrel around... BUT. They don't have a barrel system.
![]() My Advise, Get the St!ffi, go for a large bore such as .691 or .693, they will work great. |

Ok. as i planned, i got it earlier today before my usual Sat game. I got a 14" .691 bore, very light too, nice. i screwed it onto my A5 and started bucking away some premium paint. Honestly; the shots didn't feel that much different (farthur/accurate) from the stock barrel. i barely notticed a difference, if any. wtf?

Hm..I got a 14" one once, and I noticed a huge difference (for the
better). I'm not sure why it would be so different for you. Then I got
rid of it and bought an Apex. I don't know of anyone else that's had a
barrel like yours, everyone else on my team has a Flatline.

it probably was because the bore was large, so the paintball would move around in the barrel instead of staying in one general direction.. but to not notice a difference from the stock barrel, thats pretty crazy...the stock barrel is huge bore, and the inside of the barrel is not machined very well, at least compared to other barrels |

How old is your paint? Was there a broken ball in the bag? What's your weather like? |

drop a paintball down your barrel and if it goes right down too easily that you paint is too small but if it gets stuck in the middle then you paint is perfect for that barrel

the paint was purchased brand new(Draxxis Pro Caps) in perfect shape. I live in Orlando and it was perfect weather 80 degrees when i played. I take care of all my equipment, so i don't think that had anything to do with it. the St!ffi barrel didn't even add any distance. weird, i don't know man..

You shouldnt see distance, but you should see atleast slightly better accuracy. |

I have the Stiffi kit for my A-5 and it shoots darts (with evil paint) the only problem i found is that the barrel is so lite that there is a lot of vibration because of my high recoil,if your paint is to small for your barrel+vibration you will probably have problems of getting the best out of this barrel. One of the advantage is how fast i can turn my tip.Disadvantage the bores could go higher and no barrel cleaning without field stripping the barrel. |

maybe the Draxxis Pro Caps i'm using aren't suitable? when i first drop a ball through the begining of the barrel(where the rivets are) it fits snug at first, but if i drop a ball in from the end of the barrel, it rolls right through and out the other end fast.
