Hey everyone my name is Ryan and im 14 years old. Im also new to this forum. I have been playing paintball for 3 years now and i need some help on getting a new gun. Ok so right now i have a custom pro r/t and im not to happy with it right now So is the ION worth it is it reliable cause i hear some people hate n others love it. Also wat kind of upgrade would i need for it? Thank you very much

yeah i would def get a ion if i was in your posistion, but what hopper do you have? , the upgrades uo will need first are the feedneck trigger and probably a barrel and probably a QEV |

welcome to the forum and about your ion situation I would go for an 05 prostock its not as fast but if you put on some upgrades it will beat an ion anyday.

the only upgrade to make a 05 prostock good is a e-blade and that costs soo much and im not even sure if they sell them anymore ! |

Get a Nerve (~$475) or a Promaster (~$370). They're both better than a stock Ion.

thats what i would do, wait a while, for a birthday or holiday(easters coming) for the extra $80, the promaster would beat any ion any day unless its a crazy upped ion, but you cant make it that good with the extra $80 SAVE YOUR MONEY- then get a promaster |

With SP's price drop today on the Ion, it's going to be VERY hard for most companies to match or beat them. ActionVillage is showing them at $200. Granted, that really blows any Ion resale value out of the water.

get the ion def. the price dropped so its like 200 now, and if u were planning to spend 300 well now u can save some money, maybe buy a tank, or a hopper. the promaster is another good choice. but i say you should choose between thos two.

Is the ion good for woods/speed? I dont want to spend over $250 on the gun. And I know I will need some upgrades. What upgrades would I need for the ion?

I don't know if it can take a couple of falls, but just from general opinions, you'd prolly want to look into a tank and hopper, if you don't already have on, a QEV, and a barrel.
