Hello, Im new to the tippmann forums, All my markers since i started playing way back when i was in 6th grade have been Tippmann's..I love them to death....ANYWAYS, i need some help and i decided there is no better place to ask.
I currently recieved another 98 custom and an A5...both equiped with response triggers. I had some questions, If you think you can help feel free to say so! *I would like to make one of the markers a "sniper" If you have any ideas for it, or if you have any of your own please share. *What are the best M-16 kits and other kits for there markers at a resonable price. * Last, any good input at all with what i should do to my markers would be awesome. Thank you, and the help is much appreciated. Edited by Tensk - 01 May 2006 at 6:30pm |

Since youre new around here, Ill just move your thread.
Paintball Ideas is a section for homemade mods, or other. Youre looking for Upgrades and Customizing. Anyway, first off theres just no such thing as sniping in paintball. The range and accuracy just isnt there on a light spherical projectile. If you can accurately hit someone in a game of paintball, that means youre close enough for them to hear you, if not see you. Not sure on M16 kits, Im sure some milsim person will answer you. As for what you should do with your guns, thats totally up to you. Its not a question anyone else can answer for you. Just play with your gun as it is, and decide based on the style you play. Edited by Enos Shenk - 02 May 2006 at 6:11am |

Think before you do stuff I have a 98c with a BT-16 Barrel, a sight rail and a 6 postion stock. I love that gun for sniping, its a little heavy, my friends often whine cause it is heavy they are like "Geeze Steve how can you carry that thing around." It is just a mil-sim thing, but for your A5 I would like suggest getting maybe a stock that is actually USEFUL, ya i know strange word when it comes to mil-sim. Like the A5 A2 Kit it is a air thru stock so you only need a remote, it makes the gun super light, I kid you not on that one. But it doesn't make your gun look like a m4... Visit http://www.specialopspaintball.com/ check out their article on the A5 A2 or click here is a link Good luck with your gun, There are 1,000's of mods and posiblities, ask yourself how that mod will benefit you or scare the crap out of some kid who just decided to play paintball on the field you are at! And about snipers.... Their is a paintball sniper, I am one of them, they move swiftly and quietly, they often find a great place to steak out and ambush their enemys. If you know a experianced paintball sniper, they are often never seen, never heard, or never noticed. Sometimes a unexperianced Sniper AKA Ghost Flanker gets his cover blown because of shooting either too soon, or just having a serious bordom problem and shoots at a tree, ant or a squirell. (that is fun) The only advantage of a sniper having a E trigger would be if he gets in a serious jam or their is a whole single-file line of the enemy in front of him. Unless the sniper is loco, they usually just one-ball it right to the enemy when they are either turned around, or if they are facing the other way. Shooting many shots gives away your postion, if you are a serious sniper you one shot the enemy when they turn around or are not facing you (backs facing you going the other way) Shooting the enemy like this causes mass confusion of where you are, many paintballers do not expect the enemy to be behind them, making them shoot random bushes and try to investigate, while you crawl to another position and go for a second shot also doing this allows your Assalt troops to take the enemy flag or to flank and bunker the enemys you are shooting at, you keep repeating this process, until 1: the enemy chickens out and goes away, 2: All oposition is eliminated, 3: Your team wipes them out while the enemy are looking for you, 4: You/your team is eliminated, or 5:The time runs out, game over! |

^^^seriously. dont do that. this isn't your only post like that. you know when you put a stick into an antbed, and they all swarm the stick? thats what you are doing. you will NEVER change anyones mind, people will flock to this thread, this will become a 10 page sniper argument, and you will get more flames than a well done ribeye. forumers here have an counter argument for every sniping argument imaginable. some are in the military and argue against sniping. people here seem to not really like special ops forumers, and would rudely suggest you stay there. they think special ops is just marketing "sniper" gear to make money, which isnt really that surprising. so please, for the love of baby jesus, do not stir up the ants... |

you forgot one: 6. my friend runs in, and gets hit on purpose, while i sit back and wait.....after you shoot your one ub3r sw33t shot, your sniper position is found, and here i'll come, shooting ropes of paint. because we all know, 15 bps > 1 ball per hour.
