This is a pic of an old 98 my brother and I had laying around...We cut the gills and the rear sight off, and made it top cocking. Regretably, I don't have a pick of the top-cocking setup we rigged, so it looks like a regulat 98 witha foregrip. We pinned the foregrip in via two holes drilled into the reciever halves. The groove where the cocking knob used to protrude (on the other side) is filled in and sanded, you can't even tell that there was an opening there. We repainted it Blue, but the only topcoat we had was black, so the paintjob doesn't look like anything much at all. We went through a LOT of dremmel wheels on this one.
**Edit** Heres a shot of me holding the thing, you can kind of see the top-cocking groove we cut.

Haha. Simma, I've been around. The school I'm working on has mondo-blocko on web sites, taking much of my forum time away. Yeah, I knew there'd be mixed feedback on this one....especially from you paint hose fans. I also neglected to thank 'paintballworm' for his prowess with a camera. And no, it wasn't a civil war scenario. It was cold and rainy and snotty, and that coat is heavy wool, and plenty warm. When I wasnt playing, I wore that. The bigballs werent my paint either. I was shooting Premiums, HUGE mistake that turned out to be in that weather. My brother and I are no Engler, but I dont think she turned out half bad myself. |

I like it, original, you should go for an aftermarket barrel though. If you like 'em short maybe try the Lapco Bigshot 8"

Looks nice. A new barrel and possibly paint on the foregrip and it'll be one nice looking marker. Nice job
