I took apart a 98 custom with e-grip, put it back together, and it worked fine.
Let it click about 100times and cocked it and it was ok. MY brother hit the side of the gun now it gets about 99% of the way there and dosent catch when it cocks...idk whats wrong. When it was cocked it made the nice loud click, when it dosent cock it dosent click nearly as loudly.. Help Edited by benttwig33 - 08 May 2006 at 9:49pm |

it was a bit hard to decipher your post, but from what i gathered it sounds like your solenoid isnt hitting the sear like it should. that would explain the quieter of click. maybe its the battery, or maybe the solenoid is a little off. when you reassembled it make sure everything is EXACTLY like it was orinally. if that doesnt help, the cocking knob might be jamming against the side the body panels. that happened to me once, so i just filed the rear of the cocking knob (cirlced in yellow) down a little, and it worked. see if this helps, if you dont file too much, it shouldnt hurt it.
sorry if i cant help much more than that, but i dont own an e 98, so i was just throwing possible predicaments out there Edited by DeTrevni - 07 May 2006 at 3:48am |

Sear spring is fine, but the cocking knob does rub a little bit, i will file it down soon.
Its for my cousin, so im trying to help him. But its weird, it was doing fine earlier, and my brother hit the side of it...and now it dosent cock all the way. |
