cu, or ci means Cubic Inches. This is how large the tank is. The 3000, or 4500 means how much pressure the tank is rated for.

wait so wouldnt you want a small tank like a 47 cu but with 4500

because it would be smaller than a 68cu and still be 4500 so it would hold the same ammount??

No, it would not.

How you calculate shots per tank:

Take number of Cubic Inches/Units (IE: 45) multiply by 10 for a 3000psi tank, or 15 for a 4500psi tank. So, a 68ci tank at 3000psi will hold about 680 shots, and a 47cu tank at 3000psi will hold about 470 shots.

If you can get 4500 PSI fills, then most people will recommend either a 68/4500 tank or a 45/4500 tank

CPro (w/ polished internals)
14" Bigshot
BT SBS
Various Rails
NcSTAR D4B
Macro
AA 68/45

CCI Phantom
45 Grips
