Decided to just do black and green.

Looked to plain.

I added some woodland brown, but by then i was so tired i forgot to take that final shot....

Looks good. I'm sure the brown helped. Nice work!

I like that looks slick!

*EDIT*

Do you like repaint your gun every like 3 weeks or something?

Or do you just like have people send you their A-5's to get painted
Or like buy a New A-5 for every paint-job!
Your house is problably like a Armory or something!

In my opinion, looking at the pics you have up now, you are on track with the green and black.  I would use a minimal amount of brown in the same orientation as the black.  Then to finish, I would use a tan to only outline one edge (upper or lower) of the black bands, unevenly but, it should only look like your seeing a glint off the black, vice another stripe.

I repaint that old muzzelite stock alot.

As for the A5's, I either paint mine and sell 'em (so I can get a new one to paint) or people send me theirs to paint.

Here is a better pic on some arkansas rock....

You can see the brown in this shot...I think I need to add some tan speckles and few (SMALL) tan stripes for accent.

ah well, ya live an learn...
