I have decided to get a new gun. I only have about $200.

Edit-I already own a 98c for woodsball. I want to get into speedball.

I'd go with the Ion, but you'll need HPA and a faster hopper which will probably run you $200.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Just quit...now.

The only cockers out there that can compete at all with today's standard are the director's cuts, an occasional karni, and a few of the rarer ones.  Autocockers are going the way of the Mag.  They are taking a back seat to low priced electropneumatic guns.

I am kind of hesitant to buy the Ion because my friend had to buy 4 (2 from
the net) in order to find one that worked.

I'd check out PbN if I were you, there are some pretty good deals on there.

just my opinion, I would rather just wait to save up enough money or go on ebay to find a used impy er sumthing, any way, I would go with a bko, I dont know that much about ions, but I dont think theyre electropneumatic (if they are, dont eat my babies for being wrong) bko's are only like...50 more bucks on ebay sooo, save up.

Finally some one comes out and says it...Cockers are dead...look in Pb2x at hot shots and check out what every one is using...lets just say you're lucky if u see a karni about once every 6 months.

im an avid supporter of the cocker and mag. to me, they are capable, reliable, and the recballers dream. you mindless drones out there, who rely on pb2x for rock hard info, form the wheels of this bandwagon, the bandwagon that says, "get an ego, everyone on xsv is!". ya know, it is only too obvious to me that each and every person who plays paintball is obviously a speedball rippin, tourny playin, paint slingin machine.

if you have the yarbles to phase out the guns that your shiney angels and your colorful ego's evolved from, well, ill meet you on the field with my mech cocker anyday, and you can hide behind your solenoid for all i care.
