I just received my new A-5 this week and I wanted to see what upgrades I should go for. I have already ordered the e-grip with W.A.S. board. I have been playing with CO2 but think HPA may be the way to go. I have about $100 to spend on upgrades and have two options. Option 1: Vortex mod, QEV and Smart Parts Progressive barrel Option 2: Low cost HPA tank I wanted to ask the experts before I make another purchase. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give |

I would suggest a Lapco Bigshot or J&J Ceramic for your barrel. I have had nothing but problems with my progressive.

later on you should upgrade to compressed air with a regulator. you'll find that it will make a big difference

I agree with they guys above go with option one. But maybe a J&J Ceramic barrel. But it's your choice I don't want this thread to turn into people fighting over what barrel is better cause I don't care I just think and this is entirely personal opinion that J&J is better than the SP Progressive plus its cheaper. But maybe I'm wrong so let all be friends and not argue this point. |

If I go with J&J what size barrel would be recommended? I was thinking maybe 14" but not sure. Thanks again for the input. |

Size doesn't really matter. Its personal preference. I like short barrels for ease of motion, however some people like longer barrels for pushing air bunkers aside and poking through weeds.
