    Posted: 12 July 2006 at 9:43pm

I recently bought a 4500 psi compressed air/N2 tank for my marker. After some fiddling around with it and my compressor I learned that It can only be filled up with a special compressor which I also found out are around 10k. So my question is, is there a compressed air tank that I can buy on the market and fill up with my air compressor I have in my garage, or am I destined to try and find a place that can fill up my 4500 psi air/N2 tank?

You cant use a regular air compressor to fill your tank. Try your local field or sporting goods store that sells paintball items.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

scuba tanks will fill up your tank. go to www.deep-six.com/page100.htm

you need:

1. 3000psi 80cu tank. w/ yoke

2. paintball filling apparatus

You can't defy the fact that 150 psi does not ever equate to 4500.

a standard compressure wont work. if you want a compressure there between 1-3+ thousand. or you could go scuba. fill it up at a paintball store if you can do that.

How much do scuba tanks sell for? And how much would it cost me to fill up an average sized tank?

it depends on your paintball tank size. if its 3000psi then the scuba tank will cost around 190.00 (with tax and fill) probably a little less. to fill a scuba tank its 5.00 (at my shop) go to www.deep-six.com/page100.htm. you will get around 22+ fills. the apparatus at that web site is 145.00 (thats with the shipping) if you buy one, you will need to sign a waiver saying that you wont use this for air breathing/water use. (unless your certified)

i done allot of research on this. if you have any questions contact me.

You do not need that friggin 150 dollar fill piece. Buy the 40 dollar one at your shop or online; the only difference is that the cheap one has hard fittings and no fill hose. I have a cheap one and it works flawlessly.

4500 scuba tank? or the filler on deep-six with your paintball 4500 tank?

Define better. It does the exact same thing as the one with no hose.

Yes, you can fill your 4500 HPA tank with a SCUBA, but unless you buy a very expensive 4500 (do those exist?) SCUBA tank and filling aparatus you wont ever get a full fill. But a cheap 3k is plenty and will save you time and money.

Make sure you have a Scuba shop that will fill the tank before you buy it. Paintball shops around here wont do it.

But yeah, that sounds about right. 190 is a little high from what I remember.

Edit- Make sure you buy a tank boot too. It's a plastic foot that helps keep the tank from falling over.

thats at my scuba place. thats with the tax and the fill and thats the safe price (i mean i go in with 190 and i can get it) the paintball fill station could cost you 40. if you cant something with a hose or better fitting it would cost you more
