is there a special kit you can buy for your normal stock to make it air-thru? or can you mod it yourself using some hoses and a tombstone connector. hopefully this doesnt sound too stupid.

yea once i saw a gun that had the air tank actually inside the stock ... if thats what you meen by air thru

if not you probably can mod it, but that would take alot of imagination
NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

Yes I do believe it is 100% possible that you can Airthru a solid stock, other ones i am not so sure the macroline owuld hold up... I am going to try to air-tru a 98custom stock in the future.... just like my A5's stock that I bought from special ops..

I do believe getting the fitting for the tombstone will be the hardest thing.. I took apart my stock from specialops and it is so freaking simple! I think a monkey will be able to do this!!  Just make sure you have putty to seal the macroline to the fitting inside the stock.. Now that is were specialops went wrong on my stock! It leakS! they didn't put enough putty in there! *IDIOTS* I have been using teflon tape as a sealer and that seems to work really good, but I am going to call them about the stock right NOW!

I am just saying it is 100% possible, and I have been planning on doing it to my 98 for like a month...

ok im thinking of buying a tapco t6 for my a-5 and im just wondering if it would be possible in the future to make it a gas-thru stock. if it is possible with this stock, what are all the things i would need to buy for this. or some things i would need to do to the stock, like drilling cutting etc. thanks

oh and by the way, i was also wondering lol. how do you hook your remote line to the conector at the end of the stock. it doesnt look like it would be compatible with anything ive seen.

Please dont bump.

Anyway, I have a Tapco T6 on my 98. It dosent look like it could be modded to be air-thru because it moves. You need a solid stock to make it air-thru. And Remotes are two pieces. The one is the thing that the tank screws into with the hose, and the other screws into the ASA of your tank. The Air-thu stock replaces the ASA peice

Underground Mod Shop did a air thru on a collapsable stock, but it wasnt solid like the tapco, it was hollow metal pipe (Ive got a similar one)

All you would need is to buy a tombstone A5A2 adapter from SpecOps, (This does mean having to drill into your left reciever though) get some macroline and run it to a 90 degree push fitting on the side or bottom of the front end of the stock. Then have another 90 degree inside to the back of the stock  with a straight macroline push-end and standard screw fitting inside with a Remote-line Quick disconnect nipple on the other side. Sounds complicated, I think thats the jist of the idea and I spose its alot of work really. You could always take the easier/possible approach and run macroline/steel braided? or something along the outside... but then you have the movement problems and such.

I would just leave it be (Since the Tapco is solid, the above most likely won't apply), and buy a SpecOps one or make it with a different stock. Such is life... Have fun!

Thats about all I know...
