For the price of a used pro carbine, you could probably buy a new Triumph and have some money left over. Runs off the same basic idea, and seeings how its going to be for a friend, then cheaper is the way to go.

Spyder Victor II. Mech Spyders, running at around $60-$90, are ironically way more reliable than electic Spyders, doubling the price.

The electronic Kingman's arent that bad , I've never had problems directly related to design or material failures , or electronics problems either . I've maintained the Imagine , and a Fenix for my Ex , the only problems is when she tried to use it for a shovel and got dirt in it . The Imagine was/is more susceptible to grit and debris causing problems . I'd stick with a mechanical marker though for a loaner , strictly personal preference . My main guns are mechanical |

Hey, you're talkin' to me! I have run into trouble with my Imagine a little more than the Agressor XT. The electronics are fairly sensitive, if you don't have enough power going to the 'noid, it won't fire, if your board outcycles the gun, etc. You can remedy all of the situations, but a mech is a more user friendly option. |

one of my former friends got a spyder victor 2 and it chopped like crazy...so he sold it and got a 98 custom...and one of my friends little brothers has a victor 2 and it works good for a cheap gun...probably the paint he was using...

Chopping is a feed problem. Not a gun problem. He probably used a shake and bake hopper. It would be cheaper to buy a used Revvy or something then to get a new gun.

No look at it this way. some one walks into your office for an interview and they are wearing ripped jeans a t-shirt and their hair isn't cut and it's messy. are you going to want that person working for you? I don't. See the gun looks dumb and pansy ass. So personly I wouldn't want to use it. First impressions are everything in our world, and I like the rest of America judge a book by its cover. |

The pro-carbine is/was a well designed and reliable marker. It's easier to clean than a 98, both on and off the field. On the field you can acess the feedport without having to drop the hopper and possible spilling paint like on a 98c. It's also relativly easy to pull the front bolt and clean it off. Available upgrades are somewhat limited these days, but with an SL-68 trigger spring, and a good barrel, it's hard to beat. It also has an aluminum powertube, so no cracked powertubes like on a 98c. The only reason I got the 98c instead when I was buying a gun was price. I was 15 and poor, and now my 98c seems less upgradable due to all the upgrades only available on new body styles.
