The JJ ceramic and Lapco Bigshot are both very good barrels for the price. As for length, I would suggest a 12"-14". Don't go over that. The flatline is nice but is also a little picky on paint. You have to be willing to spend a little more money to get the higher quality stuff. |

I get some really cheap stuff when I used my flatline. It worked great. IMO flatlines love cheap paint.

Hey 56_ker you should check out my poll about barrel length. It kinda got off topic but there is some info. I can't say much about the flat line. I have read that it likes good paint. I can't back that up with any proof. I went with the werks barrel 12 inch. so far it shoots better than stock even with wally world paint. But I have to say from what the members have said about the jj and lapco they seem better just from the price.

If you like the idea of the Flatline then look at the Apex. Prices are similar. The Apex offers a LOT more for the money and is not nearly as particular about paint as is the Flatline (contrary to RoBo Cop's post about cheap paint, the Flatline, for the most part, performs best with some of the most expensive paints such as Marballizer and All Star). |

[/QUOTE] you can do flatline effects, or you can shoot like a normal barrel. the apex is also easier to clean compared to the flat-line where you have to remove screws and such to clean it |
