idea for civil war kind of guns

Like this? just take off the hopper.

ya... thats why youd take the hopper off. thats my gun, and i still havnt played any civil war kinda games with it. But I'll get around to it eventually...

lol when me and my brothers/father first got our first guns we used to play games with only 10 paintballs per game. and when playing with horrible brass eagles, its near imposible to hit someone. but as a result it made us very patient and non-trigger happy.

My cousin is a wimp and he loves playing civil war because it is harder to get close up where the paintballs hurt him more.

the fact that if you know somwhat what your doing, you can curve your shots around obsticals and take all the fun and skill out of the game.

^^^hey now!!! what are you saying? walmart paint cheap? naa... I use it and sometimes I can even hit a guy to the right or left of me with out even aiming at him. I think thats kind of cool

The only way everyone would be equal (equipment wise) on the field would be if there was a rule that limited equipment used during the game to being no better than the least effective marker present.  Since some eight year old with a Talon would probably want to play, I guess we should all just limit ourselves to using Talons; just to be fair.*  Better yet, to be really fair, we should institute a rule that states that the worse a player someone is, the more hits it takes to get them out of the game. For instance, Joe Noob requires 10 quarter-sized hits to eliminate while Tommy Taktikal is out if he is hit with even the most minimal amount of spray.** Furthermore, since it isn't fair that some people are more tactically effective than others, all those sneaky guys should have to wear hunter orange in the woods.***

Guess what, paintball is a lot like life. Neither is fair and people just have to get used to that and deal with it. If someone is willing to spend the time it takes to learn to really walk a trigger and put out tons of paint, more power to them. Their reward for that effort is their ability to dominate certain situations on the field. If someone forks over the money for a Flatline/Apex and practices with it until they can use it very effectively in all situations, again they have earned the right to do so. If I'm on the field with either of these individual's and know that they posess capabilities that I don't, then I just have to compensate by playing to my strengths instead of theirs. If I'm going to whine about fair I might as well leave the field, sell my gear, and play a nice board game.

Edited Note: Decided to add the following true story from last year that relates to this topic. After a game in which I used my 98 w/Flatline to pin down (not eliminate) several members of the other team until they could be maneuvered on and eliminated by my team members, one of them came up to me and complained.  His main complaint was that it wasn't fair I could hold them off with my F/L while they couldn't even get paint near me before at least the second bounce. I looked at his fancy electro w/Freak kit and Halo and asked him why he hadn't got a 98 or an A5 and put a F/L on it, to which he replied, "This is what I want to play with."  My response, which he was unimpressed with, was "So you made a conscious choice to let me out-range you?"

My point is, we both selected how we wanted to be equipped, but he let me set up a situation where my gear had the advantage. There's nothing unfair about that, he just should have played smarter.

Didn't say you had all that, I'm just pointing out how anyone can complain about any advantage as being "unfair".
