The Apex was designed as a method to generate the same effect as the
Flatline, yet not be in violation of Tippmann's patent. The other
things they did to it such as the changing angles design is just a
gimick to say "hey look, this does more than the Flatline!" I think I will just stick with the original design. It has worked great for me all these years.
