What is the best internal performance upgrade I can buy for my 98 A.C.T.? A new Bolt, spring kit, powertube? Tell me what brand to get for each. let me know what you think.

There isnt an upgrade on the market today that will be better than the stuff tippmann sends you. its pretty much the most effecient you can get with their design. So, yes, the best thing to do would be to leave it stock... the only "internal" mod that would be anywhere near buying would be the lpk, but thats even a bit expensive for what it does. Of course, you could always polish the internal parts, which would help with wear and might make it a slight bit more efficent. |

Yomillio, not my first day uptown! I know that I will not get any better than what Tippmann designed for my gun from the factory. As far as reliability goes, that is. I will be getting my A5 soon. It will become my primary gun (function over form). I want to trick my 98 out (form over funtion) with all the cool part's for it. As far as the LPK goes.... not gonna happen! I run CO2 and a R/T on my 98. I was told that sometimes a LPK can mess with the R/T's performance. So far 4000 shot's and not a problem with it!

I hear the Maddman spring kit is a good and relatively cheap upgrade. Also should help with efficiency as the harder springs would mean higher FPS without having to turn the gas up.
Umm, the X-core might be a good idea with CO2, Ive got a palmers on my A5 but I hear they are pretty expensive new (I got mine nearly new pretty cheap here) Also Anti-siphon the C02 if you havent already. You could QEV the R/T and get bigger hoses, but I'm not sure how much that'd help... Orange howitzer bolt (? It just looks cool), JCS red hot (I think they make em for the 98). Oh theres that rocket cocking thing too. Thats all I can really think of for the 98 at the mo' |
